- Providing chances for young people to learn new skills, work with professionals and access new pathways into the creative industries
- Creating a platform to showcase the talents and skills of young people
- Encouraging the presentation and promotion of cultural products created by young people, in collaboration with established professionals, in non-traditional context
- Changing attitudes and approaches to reaching and developing the creative potential of young people often at the margins of society
- Showing how young people's involvement in the creative industries can contribute to local regeneration
- Challenging inequalities and exclusion
- Generating positive images and a climate for opportunity
